We have to carefully check possibility of supporting subdomains.
At this moment I see possible issues in URL tracking functionality, which simply ignores all absolute URLs which are not starting by forum URL described in vBulletin configuration.
Also vBSEO and Friendly URLs can make some issues.
Finally as I know subdomains will require configurations from server side.
So at this moment we have to take it into investigation, before we will be ready to decide is it worth to go for it or not.

I'm still waiting for this feature this would make things perfect since google webmaster tools consider a subdomain, so I could have a different crawl speed for each language
