Since vBet is meant to respect Google, surely the powered by Google image shouldnt be hotlinked

Do you mean that it should be taken from local server? If we miss something please point us which part of Google TOS requires this We will gladly made necessary changes in default value of flags description if it is required

So it is enough to change your configuration - upload the image to your server and change path in flags description.

In our opinion it doesn't have to be better for Google. In actual way they can made changes in logo and those will be visible on other pages. And we also thing that Google wants it to be actual way, because this way it is taken by Google AJAX API - directly form Google server.
