Also, same happened to me when I enabled MS Translate. The server isn't making a connection and timing out.

Its a waste of time anyway, the MS limit is 4m chars a month.

When i enabled v2 google i used 4m chars in about 15 mins.

Even if i wanted to pay $1000 for 50m chars (max per month) from Google, id use them in days.

This MOD is dead, unless VBET can find a free way for it to continue.

There is no limit of 50 cals per minute froms MS, also right now if you are not using google api v1 there is no cache time to live limit.
About your issue, please describe it, you turn on microsoft api, and it didn't work, please make sure that you are configurate vbet correctly, and if you are sure about it please PM your access to your server/adminco, i could check it on place

4m chars a month / 400k a hour is not enough.

I have explained my problem, as has tavenger5 who has same issue.

When i enable MS option, i get 500 server error when i translate a page in the browser.

I do not need to PM my server details, if he has the issue too it should show on your test forum.

Regardless, its a waste of time, this mod cannot work now Google is going paid.

No one can afford to pay $1000's a month, and the free options have to low limits.

It sucks but this is dead unless you can find a solution, better than the current ones.

Yes I've read it and there is clearly said that there is no limit of 50 cals p/m, also 500 error issue didn't show on my test forum.
But please try this solution: find if is there in your forum root that folder

I calculate a 10,000 thread forum has around 450 million chars.

So that would take 112 months via MS or cost $9000 via Google v2.

You think this is ok?

But, 500 error problem, please read carefully this post: Vbet 3.5 relase
And pay attention that it is necessary to upload vbet_translation_options to your forum root, without this the MS won't worked, and there will be a lot of lack is translations

Of course cached data will reduce translations.

BUT a 10,000 thread forum will take 100+ MONTHS to fully cache.

That is over 8 YEARS!
